the insanely easy maze is really what sells this
This time, Nutty sells out!
This is one of the 3D animations I made for my Fall 3D animation class from last year. As our 4th project, we were tasked to make a cereal ad, utilizing Cinema 4D's particle system, and the squash and stretch modifiers for the box. I wanted to go a bit further with the assignment, with the bit of time I had left, and add some 2D hand-drawn animation in Flash, blending it in with the 3D animation to really sell the cereal concept.
Drew the box artwork in Flash as well. Kinda rushed it when it came to drawing the back side, but the front looks decent at least. (we had to texture all sides of the box. it was a requirement for this assignment.)
I even did some Foley for the cereal and the collision SFX.

This is a great teaser! If you wanted to make another one of these, make it longer and more 90s styled with the dog. I LOVE IT!!!!!
I admit that I didn't think too highly of this when I first saw it. I still really don't. It's too short. I really wanted to see that dog that was on the cereal box. I'm glad you included that cereal box info. It's just not enough for a commercial.
They need to be at least 30 seconds long. This was indeed nutty. I was able to navigate through the maze on the box cover. Well, technically it was a drawing. Dang, we got high scores today!
it was meant to be a short assignment to show our understanding of the particle system in C4D, not a full 30 sec. commercial, though i did want to emulate that feeling from this revision, with the little time i had before i got to showcase in class. but i totally understand wanting more from this, and i appreciate your feedback!
you'll definitely see more from these characters in the future!
🥛 MILK
It's legal
i actually wanted to add milk, but C4D's fluid physics are kinda touchy on its own
so i figured i'd add a squirrel instead
