The concept seems cool, but I think it has a major bug on Samsung mobile, I can't do anything other than walk around the small, spread out town, can't walk in a building with a money-bag-looking-thing in the window, walked into the library and I'm told to leave, and then its locked, and then when I walk through the cabbage patch kids, I'm getting a message that "I haven't found everyone yet" every quarter step, so it took me like a minute to walk through them.
I'm not sure what I was doing anyways, because when I started the game, I had to keep pressing A, so I went to get a snack and pet the dog, and when I came back, I couldn't interact with anything in the room so I stepped out, and then the beginning of my review. So it was kind of annoying that the game progressed when it lead me to believe that I was the one making it go...
EDIT: RESPONSE: Thank you for responding to my review!
The "cabbage patch kids" were the beings at the bottom of the map; IDK if I was tired or what, but at the time they looked like cabbages with faces arms and legs lol now, they look like fairie people. I really enjoyed the personal look all of the characters have!
One reason I am excited to try this game on PC is so I could read through the beginning again, and tell you my experience! When I played on mobile, I thought that I missed the story when I decided to stop pressing A, to get up for a minute, but I found that I did not miss anything ha! Just a very quick intro!
While playing on PC, I found that the game is unplayable on mobile because I could not proceed to the top left screen shift (IDK the correct term). I tried passing through all edges on the first scene, which is why I felt trapped with the "I haven't found everyone yet" text boxes when I was checking all the edges. I practically couldn't travel anywhere on mobile, just the map outside the front door.
Lots of walking, I wish we could walk a lot faster, like a lot faster. But I appreciate the map size; that was surprisingly fun, to learn how big your areas are and what they look like.
I love how the characters look, each with their own style.
I tried finding this game on itchio to try it there, but I had no luck finding it.
Fun concept, just a little too slow. I finally found the Herring in the hideout, while writing this review, so I'm gonna take a break and warm up some food.
I enjoyed giving you my honest opinion and I enjoyed exploring your game!!
