I'm just a biology nerd! I only put in facts I already know (from wiki binges or factoids from other sources), so research is just confirming it by finding reputable sources (and hopefully not finding out that either science has marched on or I got my facts twisted to begin with, rendering everything completely wrong). I do that in the span of a day toward the end of the episode, together with getting the citation sources formatted, and gathering and formatting all the images and their credits. (I save it for the last minute just in case another relevant fact pops into my brain.)
