Not a bad metaphorical/rhetorical/whatchamacallit wake up call innit? XD Tempted to start using this as much actual alarm every morning, when I do use an alarm in the morning...
Rise and shine Cyberdevil, rise and shine. Not that I imply you have been sleeping on the job, no one is more deserving of a rest.
I'm up now, I'm up!!!
the flow is real
For real. :) Thank you!
Great message, fast and tight flows, really impressive CD! First acapella of the month is setting that bar high! Nicely done :D
Thank you thank you, hope the rest of 'em don't disappoint either! Cheers JB!
Fast and stimulating! Is this a wake-up call? :P It could be good to listen to while brushing your teeth... although not with an electric toothbrush (so it doesn't drown it out) but with a regular one :) Nice rhymes, gentlemen! Great job!
P.S. For now I'm on #3, but I noticed that they are shorter than a year ago... well, it's probably because everyone has less and less time... it's understandable, but at the same time... sad to some extent.
You could say that! Or maybe just some much required self-motivation to keep myself going this particular musical month! XD Haha yeah with an electric one you'd best have some noise-cancelling earphones, or speakers that easily drown out such sounds!
Hmm this one is shorter yes, but it varies a lot from day to day. Overall the entire tracklist from this year is actually around 16 minutes longer than last year - and that one was about 3 minutes longer than the previous year. 2021 and 2020 were pretty long too, but so far this is actually the record year length-wise, 78.9 minutes total. :) The shortest one was the first, 2019.
That said though maybe length isn't actually the best way to measure progress, or effort. ;) Some verses are double-time, some have more words even when they're shorter, some have a ton of words but still don't really say as much... right now each Inktober actually is getting more and more extensive, but ultimately I'm just happy if I can make verses I'm happy with. Ones that are fun, or introspective, or impactful in some way, and let me collab with different people every year. More quality over quantity hopefully, but more importantly consistent output over all! I'm not intentionally trying to keep them the same length, but it does feel like the total somewhat reflects the effort I put in each year, so if they keep turning out somewhere around regular album length I'm pretty happy at the end. :) Practical too, for mixtape purposes...
Thanks for checkin' in on these this year too Mejson!
