A uniquely American tragedy.
Note: Newgrounds just got Front Page mention in Today's New York Times, so get ready for a world of traffic...
Yes, this will be analyzed to death, but in the end we are left with lives cut short and families ripped asunder. I actually feel sympathy for Jeff Weise. He obviously was intelligent and talented - but deeply troubled and someone who himself experienced a hellish last few years with the suicide of his father, and brain-injured mother, and having to relocate to an Indian reserve from Minneapolis. But having said that, our main sympathies and concern must be with those families who through no fault of their own - have been visited with an unspeakable tragedy. Our prayers are support are with you.
Who is to blame? We all are. Yes, its a cliche, but it fits. Jeff Weise was obviously failed by those around him. He became sick, and no one noticed in time.
R.I.P - to the Victims, and yes, to Jeff as well. It is God's perogative to deliver Mercy, and render Judgement now.
