Reviews for "The Spice Must Flow"

Yeeea DO WANT

Great artwork. I like the contrast between the bright cyan/blue eyes and the soft brown orange earth tones u use. Also the contrast between the dark back-lit foreground and the light background. That also brings out the eyes nicely.

I'm also looking forward to the new films. I read the first novel when I was 10, and right after watched the 1984 movie. I was a bit disappointed in it. By then the first film was already outdated, but when it was first released it already relied on older technologies and wasn't visually as impressive as Star Wars for example. It all didn't look as cool I imagined from the books, and sometimes it looked downright silly even. The story seemed shallow compared to the books. In retrospect I see the first film really became a cult classic. It's a product of it's time and really has that 80's vibe that I actually quite like. Still I don't think it does the novels justice.

It will be interesting to see a more faithful, serious and timeless adaptation. Let's hope the new films will be just that.

I must not hype Dune. Hype is the mind-killer.
Hype is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my hype. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the hype has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

These actors are so adorable, I can't wait for the movie either. Love the color scheme, line quality, tone and contrast of the painting. Love the way those spice eyes pop from those earth tones. 10/10 :D

Great work! Fine earthy colors and tones with quality line art.

I have to say my expectations of the upcoming movie are more muted for several reasons, chief among them Hollywood's recent poor adaptations of other novels. Still, for the fans, I hope that this latest attempt can finally get it right for what the novel deserves.
