Everything. Graphics, sound, theme, you did our homework!
Hm~
I think the gameplay is the best part, the graphics are nice too (the drawings could use some work--but the movement and stuff is good). The music gets a bit repetitive, particularly the battle music because it starts over very quickly. The English, as peole have said, is probably the biggest issue.

The sound could be better if it didn't loop, ummm, the hero is too pale, that bugged me,I'm surprised how well it moved on my computer even though it wasn't 8 or 16 bit, I think you can do better, but I also think it's a great game, just needs alittle work.... oh the thing I'd want to work on the most is the way they talk, bleh it was horrible..... lol, good luck hope you make a new better version real quick, PEACE and all that shit.... nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nnuh nuh nuh nuh nuhn uh nuhnunhuhuhnhunnuhnuhnuh nuh nuh nuh.... weeeeeee woooooooo weeeeeeee wooooooo bahhhhhhhh WAKKA WAKKA oh... sorry.... kinda went off topic bye ^^
