Reviews for "Spooky Scary Spawn"

Fantastic illustrstion, man!

HeartisttheArtist responds:

Thank you so much, I’m very proud of it—and I’m very happy to know you like it!

You drew the cape very well and I like the background! It's nice to see more of your art again!

HeartisttheArtist responds:

My dude! Your art is a huge inspiration—especially your art of Spawn, so seeing this made my day!
I’m glad to be showing more of my art, school has got me swamped so it’s hard to find time to make it. I hope to share more as soon as possible!

Dude, the background is awesome. And the perspective really works.

HeartisttheArtist responds:

Thank you so much, the perspective course I’ve been taking has really been making a huge difference!

Ah, Spawn... The epitome of 90's edgy culture, I've and always will love his design and the idea behind the character, too bad the comics got awry (for me) with all the religious and "Chosen one" crap...
Great work Heart, your Simmons looks really menacing! The only thing that could make it even better is a little more glow in his eyes, but that's just nitpicking XD

HeartisttheArtist responds:

Honestly? I always found the animated series to be the best execution of Spawn’s premise. The comic series spends a lot of time getting sidetracked from Spawn himself, and even he ends up spinning his wheels when it comes to plot. The religious elements are better implemented and more interesting in the show, whereas in the comics it feels very sudden and tacked-on. And let’s not even mention the movie…
Thanks so much, my dude! I actually thought about pushing the glow of his eyes further as I was working on this—ah well, no use crying about it now!

Man, I love the HBO animated show. Spawn Is pretty cool.

HeartisttheArtist responds:

Me personally, I think it’s the best incarnation of the character!
