The Animation succeeded in what you were tring to do beautifully. The lip synching looed polished for the style that was presented and though simple in concept I believe that it was well done. Everything that was presented was clearly discernable as it's intended representory item. I hope that your professor appreciated the work as well.
I think I spent longer on the lip synching than I did every thing else, he better damn well appreciate it!

I would give this a definite A* if it's just coursework.
With a bit of tweaking, this could be mistaken for a professional creation. It does what you say it does and would definitely work in the real world. Although not a fresh idea, a great execution and casting (Suzie's voice was great) make this a 10 star submission.
