Reviews for "D-Day Defender"

Great game

This game is really fun and enjoyable to play simple graphics mixed in with cinematic movies its truly a great combination. i really enjoyed playing this game especialy when the tanks started coming in then the fun really began the voice of the narator doesnt really fit in but its good the script is good to why does the screen have to be so narrow though and the medals made this game more fun 7/10 normaly but because of the medals a handicap of 1 so 8/10 i love this game but not enough for it to be in my favourites make more uprgaed and maybe some backup would be great

Well built

Art style is strangely fitting, the music is excellent, the cut-scenes are well made and the gameplay adrenaline charged.

However, it suffers two flaws in my opinion.

- The 'weapon boost' from the engineers lasts too little time for the effort involved to obtain it.
- It's a very emotional, well thought out game, but once again the UK's role in D-Day is entirely missed. I feel that's not so much an insult but just historically unfair.

Nice game

I lasted 31 hour .. but the game has one major flaw .... you dont have a shop ... the keep coming in bigger numbers and better equpmant but you dont have anything but mortar and machine gun .... so 8 overall

There's only two issues I have about this.

This game is atmospherical and fun. As some of the others already mentioned, you take minimal graphics to a maximal level of awesome. Sure, this game is not the right place for upgrading the hell out of your tower like in other defense games, but as the title implies, I have two issues with this game:

-I don't know if anything new happens, the "Watch all ingame cutscenes" achievement suggests the opposite. Under these circumstances, it's impossible to overheat your gun, making the engineer upgrade "faster cooldown" useless. You could actually include upgrade phases in the nights of the game imho, but only upgrades like faster engineer/mortar increases or a quick reload special skill against these moments when you just shot your last bullet and an airplane appears. That way, the overheat could be way more evil at the beginning, but with upgrades, you could achieve a level of overheat close to the current one.

-The second issue: The game is too short. Sure, it's infinitely long, but you have too little trust in your atmospherical talent. After 48hrs, it's done. No more tragedy, no more drama. I would play the game much longer if there was more of the atmosphere that you have created, but there isn't. The "each achievement gives an own cutscene" feel was great, so why not take it further? If it really was true for every achievement (and upgrade, if these were to be implemented, for example as three-level-perks, one upgrade per night), I would probably play the game over 10 times just to see all the cutscenes.

If there's ANY chance to motivate you to actually re-release your game or add another mode (arcade mode, so to speak) with similarities to what I suggested, I would dearly want to do so. This game is exceptionally fun, but there's a lot of potential still behind it.

guys did you notice a cross thats the gunner i think :( sad the soldiers that landed must have buried him by the way good game but work on the new update there were no tanks but there were ships shooting at that beach and no jeeps there were no fighter-bombers and there were more then one HMG or MG42 and send more men if you update to have like 2 or more HMGs work on it. giving this 4 stars i would give 5 if you do better in this game.
