Very retro feel to it...
I like it. I have two suggestions though - firstly, make death not pop up high-scores every time (maybe I want to retry?), and the looping background sound does no favours. Otherwise its very retro and simple, and I like it.

It's not perfect, but it's amazing for something made in that little time. I agree that the highscore board shouldn't come up when you die though. I hope you do make the full featured version you mentioned.
