I really liked it. It was visually good to look at, the objects weren't easy to find but nor were they impossible, and the puzzles were logical. Just the right amount of difficulty.
Okay, I guess
Do you know what a pixel hunt is? It's when a game is programmed in such a way that it requires the player to mouse over every single inch of the game screen to find something he can click on. I find this game to be just that. I had trouble finding the wrench, battery, and secret note because I didn't know I could click in the places they were hidden.
In your defense, however, this would be the first Escape the Room game I've played in this style. By that I mean I haven't seen one where the room looks like it was photographed instead of drawn. So it may just be that I'm so used to other Escape games that something like this just throws me off.
Having said that, there are a couple of things I would've done different. First, I would have made the battery area accessable by clicking between the toilets or under the right one instead of requiring the player to access it from the key area. Second, I would make sure the player knew there was a small space above the cabinet where the wrench was hiding by having an exit to the up. Finally, there's no indication that the player can use the screwdriver on the keypad. Either have the keypad screwed in or indicate to the player that it can be wedged open.
Thanks for your advices, maybe some objects are very difficult to find...
I will have in mind for my next game.
