Reviews for "The Sugar Claws: V-VII"

Fantastic!

I always love your choice of words, how you have such a broad vocabulary, it's kind of scary. I love how this story is playing out, how the cat is kind of guiding her, but at the same time, kind of keeping her in the dark. I can't wait to see the end, so I can read it again from the beginning!

Celx-Requin responds:

Thanks man,
That's really kind of you!

Sincerely,

Like always-

I'm on the edge of my seat every panel. Anxious and anticipating what's to come next. Reading things periodically is hard for me, so I'll definitely go through the whole story again once you've finished :)

I like how you used the font on Maple to get into the reader's mind that her voice had (obviously) changed due to what happened, it just makes it easier to imagine.

Good work, once again (of course :p)! :]

Celx-Requin responds:

I'm glad someone noticed the change in the text for Maple after she got the fork stuck in her throat :)
I'm working on the final submission today, so hopefully it will be prepared for release October 1'st!

Thanks,
- Celx

Heavy stuff

Oh wow, this story turns into some heavy stuff. Even more heavy than your previous comic. At least this affects me more than "sugar claws" for some reason.

I like the way you play around with different colours here. The pink "real world" and the blue "other world/dream world" create a very strong contrast. A contrast that makes this comic so interesting to read.

I blame Todd Solondz...

Thanks for the review!

This needs a movie.

If this was ass, i'd tap it. Hard. the latest one is so inspiring, and you definitely got the fable/fairy tale effect. I'm no professional rater, but I know a good series when i see one. Keep'em coming, and keep'em creative.

Celx-Requin responds:

Thanks man!
Did you end up seeing the last one?

Still love the style

There's not a lot that differs in terms of quality from chapter to chapter. It doesn't really need to.

I've been reading and reviewing a lot of your stuff, and I really think that you've done a seriously amazing job with the storyline, plot and general feel of this story. The atmosphere the story itself is placed in, is created around the reader by use of music and your pretty distinct art style.

There's not much animation, but the graphics are neat and unique. The color palette you used really gets out the contrasts in the story. The music still doesn't loop perfectly, but the sound itself is pretty good.
