It's a good game, workout on the fingers for sure.
However, getting the torch upgrade still had projectiles passing through the string, Then when it faded, bam, got hit. That was the majority of damage inflicted, taking several hits because flinging in enormous circles simply won't destroy them all, and when it fades I can get nailed many times.
The ball hits objects in a far more range than it appears, so it's guesswork to know if I'm going to stop something or not. And then, out of all the times I've played, only saw one health power-up ever, and just being 5% pretty much told me to not rely or even hope for one the entire time. The projectile bonus power-up is ridiculously short even after the level up bonus that extends it.
It's a fun, quick game, but too inconsistent and hard due to the pass-throughs with the torch bonus. Everything else is minor in comparison to that.

I couldn't find a ball to segment collision function right off the bat, so I stuck with a segment to segment collision, which obviously has it's faults with the velocity vectors are in the same axis.
Sorry about your luck with the health! From what I've seen, people usually get a good dozen or so every game. :D
This is actually a pretty cool game, very innovative.
The music adds to the retro feel, I'm digging it.
