Reviews for "Night Rider"

I love this, a pretty solid game. Sure, you could add bosses, power-ups, story scenes and so on, but what you have now is a smooth little game.

I'd love to see a scoreboard and badges too, but, as I said, this is well rounded and a good example of great design.

Thanks so much man.

just fun to play, control feels really nice

PhatBoiJ responds:

Thanks man!

the game is nice and I like the graphic style.
the scripts are solid and smooth.
the only issue for me is the fact that the motorbike react too fast when pressing the buttons and it's quite difficult to drive it.
I don't know if this is a problem only for me, because I am from the old generation and when I was gaming hard, the mouse was not used a lot in games, so we are used to move pressing the arrows with the right hand and do other stuffs with the left. so I definitely have not much sensibility on the left hand to correctly move a motorbike with such sensible and fast reactions.
I'd love to see this with the option to move with arrows and aim with WASD. :)

anyway, the real reason for my rating is the lack of leaderboard.
this game loses all its sense without the challenge of a score ranking..

PhatBoiJ responds:

But you can move with the arrows O:

Controls are nice, gameplay too. But, I find horrible that you can't destroy their rockets with your shoots.

The engine is solid, music is a good chiptune choice but repetitive after a while. I would add other types of bikers, random cars and divergent road paths. You could code the next Spy Hunter!!!

It controls well and simply, like classic Nintendo with a mouse.

Put in some powerups like a shmup instead of the typical guns and you'd have something grand. Keep the sense of speed you have in the background and maybe make a penalty for driving off the road like hazards or guardrails to crash into.

I like it. Take it further.
