Reviews for "A Matter of Caos: Episode 4"

I have to say, there is a special place in my heart for Detective Noir games, as well as the supernatural. So the fact that you guys took both of them and smacked them together like a Roman creating a new word makes me so happy. By the end of this series, I'm left wanting more, at least more in the sense that (as your kickstarter campaign will soon have) an explanation will be given. What is Gilbert's real name? What does he name the dog? Who is the mysterious love that popped up in his thoughts? Why does he like rubber chickens so much? So many questions have so much potential.
Long rant on a good game series short:
I can't wait to see what else you have in store for us! Unfortunately, I am unable to help in means of finances, however I'll try and spread word and contribute via art/maybe various ideas or what have you. Keep doing great work!

ExperaGameStudio responds:

And we have to say, we LOVE you! Your word are precious and it's great to see you liked our game! We hope you'll like our next adventures as well... have a GREAT day and keep having fun! :)

I have to just say..wow...if takes a good bit for me to get drawn into something, but your game did just that. I love these kinds of stories, I love the lore of the old ones, I understand why he goes with Gilbert after all, humans might not have the parts needed to say his true name...then again it might be best not to give a true name, afterall...names can hold great power.

ExperaGameStudio responds:

Every time we read a comment like this one, happiness arise while we feel that what we're doing is going somewhere.
Indeed, a name can hold MUCH more power than most people would believe - and Mr. Gilbert's real name could do terrible things to reality.
We're glad you liked this story, and, of course, we hope you'll like our other adventures as well. Right now we're busy releasing our game on Steam but, once we'll complete that, we want to go on with "No Rest for the Wicked", a new AMOC adventure! :) Thank you for your support and keep having fun!

3 questions:

1. what happened to Gum Shoe-lhu's Ancient powers? (why are the Ancients so weak?)
2. What version of Mack the Knife do you prefer? (Bobby Darin or Kevin Spacey)
3. Why not stay with the original artist? The art is unique and interesting!

ExperaGameStudio responds:

3 Answers:

1. The true reason why Mr. Gilbert (the last Ancient in this world) is so weak is just hinted, but we're planning to better explain it in the game's sequel, No Rest for the Wicked. Just another hint: that depend on a decision which Gilbert made a LOOOOONG time ago.
2. Kevin Spacey IS Kevin Spacey, but Bobby will always be Mack in our mind.
3. We didn't get it: the four episodes were all made by the same artist. What did you mean?

This is the most FANTASTIC series I've ever played. This even beats the Rusty Lake series. I hope for more games like this as this is easily my favorite! Make a new Mr. Gilbert series so we can continue following in the footsteps of this ancient Cthuluian detective.

ExperaGameStudio responds:

THANK YOU SO MUCH! :) Comments like this are so valuable to us! <3 We already wrote the concept for a sequel, which will be "A Matter of Caos: No Rest for the Wicked", which should be SO MUCH LONGER than this one. Still, we'd love to develop it at its best, so we're looking for enough resources to develop it at full quality. Thank you so much for your support, we're glad you liked it and we hope you'll like our other adventures as well... have an AMAZING life and keep having fun!

dude i love these games! definitely one of the best point and clicks i have played
