Now in regards to this topic: It should already be pretty clear that there's a huge difference between criminals such as pedophiles and people that just wish to have relationships within the same sex. It's up to government to weed such criminals from society. I can't say I don't clearly understand exactly why Canada has the concensual age for sex at 14, but they must have a reason for it, right?

I live in Canada, and (as far as I know), the law for heterosexual contact is 14, but only for those under 18. If you're over 18, then it's technically rape. I'm not sure about this, though.

Two fags getting hitched won't be the downfall of society. Two fags raising children could possibly be though. And that is my only complaint about letting them get "married". Thats where the gov should draw the line, childcare.
I just don't see how 2 men (even if one plays the woman now and then) can raise a child properly, the child will miss out on what MOM has to offer.

Because of man's lawlessness, this law of the universe has too often gone into effect. As a law of an impartial God, it will soon descend upon the nations of Israel in the form of "a nation of fierce countenance" (Deuteronomy 28:49-50). It is only a matter of time.
When a nation descends into perversions like homosexuality, its decline accelerates, its fibers weaken and it becomes ripe for disaster, either natural or political/military.
If the leadership of a nation participates in these perversions, the immorality spreads like a cancer among the people, accelerating the collapse. The leaders, already perverted personally, make immoral and unwise decisions regarding the nation's direction and conditions grow worse (cf. Romans 1:26-32; II Timothy 3:13).
Knowing the nation's destruction is so near, Christians have a responsibility to "sigh and cry over all the abominations" (Ezekiel 9:4), preparing for the time when we will rule with Christ in a just and holy government (Revelation 5:10; I Peter 2:9; I Corinthians 6:2-3).
Fortunately, God has made provision for homosexuals to repent, maybe not now but in the resurrection, if their minds have not been totally perverted (II Peter 3:9; I Timothy 2:4; 4:2; Hebrews 10:26-31).
So much the more reason to beseech God, "Your Kingdom come!"

I really wonder why so much focus and debate is placed upon something that will not affect you. I understand, by your interpretation, that your religion forbids it, but let's look at this.
Two people, admitting they love each other. You can't deny that they do, it's for them to decide and no one else.
These two people aren't trying to make you into something you're not. A few always will, it's inevitable, but a clear majority will not.
These two people want a formal and legal declaration of their commitment to each other. That harms no one, costs the country nothing but a piece of paper and a signature.
Note that the above points could apply to hetero or homosexual couples.
If something doesn't affect you, doesn't cost you anything, and will make a large number of people happy if it occurs, why deny them it?
You're certainly not being forced to marry a member of the same sex.
Also, could our governments not be focusing on something a little more important? Say, international affairs, the homeless problem, enviromental issues...

SPQRI3, that is bullshit. The age for legal sex isn't going to be lowered for those pervs. Gay marrige is between two consenting adults, no more "perverted" than any hetro relationship.
Beside the Canadian government will never allow age for legal sex to be reduced because as I said before, "gay marriage is for consenting adults", not 14 year old kids. There is a massive difference between being gay, and being a pedophile.
