Heads up to anyone looking for a Newgrounds event in the Philly area: @PhantomArcade has reserved the Ambler Theater for an NG animation screening on Thursday, October 26th at 8pm.

There will be an entry fee to cover theater costs, currently expected to be around $6 per person. We might also rent space at a local bar to hang out after the screening, in which case the price could increase a bit.

Final details are TBD but if you plan on attending, please PM PhantomArcade with your email address and let him know you would like to be in the loop. The theater max capacity is around 240 people.

Thank you everyone who made something for Pico Day yesterday, as well as everyone who hung out for the live stream from the office!

Sounds awesome! This would make a great opportunity for some sort of collab. I'm not the best at organizing, but I would definitely partake.

Didnt get a chance to make it personally out to the office but i did watch the stream for a bit, its touching the pico characters are still alive and well, love those kids.

6$ per person is a damn sight better than what I was quoted for a commercially run theater 20 years ago in suburban NJ. Ambler is just north and west of Ft. Washington, making it an easy in n' out, sounds quite promising!

Neat! Always cool to see IRL Newgrounds-related events, and it's super close to me, so I'm sure I'll be there. Now, is this going to be a multi-day affair, because it looks like people are flying/driving far distances for it, and I'd hate for them to travel all the way there and stay only one day.

Also, since seating is limited, should we announce and limit how many people we bring to just a couple at most?

Also, to address bringing friends, so long as they also gets tickets that's fine! Though I'm working on compiling a reserve list of people attending and of course animators having their work shown will get priority (alongside those currently reserving). Though once the final details are clear we'll be able to say how many seats there are still open. We'll keep you all posted!

Additionally, any extra money raised will go into a prize pool for the top 3 cartoons shown. We'll host a vote after the showing for the attendants to determine the winners.

And finally, as for what's being shown, I'm gathering recommendations as well as compiling a list of essentials. If you have anything you want to be shown post it here, or PM me. We'll host a straw poll with all of them later and host a community vote to decide the playlist of entries.

You could take the train from the airport to 30th street station and then take a connecting train (Lansdale / Doylestown line) to the Ambler train station, which is up the street from the theater.
