Reviews for "CT: Fall of Guardia Part1"

it was ok

pretty slow and i couldnt finish it..got too boring

Vinstigator responds:

All your "reviews" are basically one liners. At least review the fuckin' movie.

DONT CRITISIZE HIM

His work is brilliant

Vinstigator responds:

Indeed. I'm especially proud of my Day After series.

Cool!

It's about time someone came up with an animation of Chrono Trigger, one of the best RPGs to jumpstart the genre. Work on the graphics and such and I'll be happy.

Vinstigator responds:

I'll see what I can do ;)

For a CT movie, it was okay.

Geez, poor Taban . . . Not wonderful, not awful. I enjoyed the nostalgia brought on by the good ol' CT music, but I thought you could have done a lot more with the sprites and the effects that Flash comes with. You had the story play out in a very linear sense-- only one thing happening at a time. That makes it kind of boring.
Try having three or four things happening at once-- like when Crono is fighting his doppelganger, perhaps the fake Crono could charge the real one, and get blasted by lightning before he can get there. Then the real Crono jumps back, etc. Also, the speech was pretty drab. Good spelling and grammar, but drab. Maybe you could make it appear letter by letter, instead of all at once like that.

Chrono Trigger is arguably my favorite game of all time, and I'd watch just about any animation associated with it, but please take these suggestions to mind when you produce part 2.

Vinstigator responds:

Watch "FFVI The Day After - Part 14" to see what I'm capable of. I made that months after I made this ;)

Quite good

It was very good. I loved how you used the music from the the game and the sound effects were used to good effect.
The only problems I had were that somtimes things would appear or walk outside of the square you seem to have made the main area for the video (they walk out into the black) just a bit. Also I think the energy ball or fireball or whatever magus throws still had a box or somthing around it... dunno looked wierd
Other than that I'm really looking forward to the next one.
I hope Magus didn't REALLY die that easily >.>

Vinstigator responds:

Yeah this was before I knew how to rip spells properly hence the black stuff around Magus' fireball. Thanks for the review :)
