Tricky, but good
The negative power-ups give the game a challenging feel, especially if you're up against a boss with one. Other than that, good game.

A few problems
Firstly, the option of sound at the very beginning is something more games need!
The game was generally very well designed, althought there were a lot of things that made the game less fun to play.
There was FAR too much text on screen at one time throughout most of the menus, it made the screen cluttered and meant you had to read through so much text before you could even play (the shop screen for example.)
The other main problem is the size of the ship, as a fan of shmups, it must made it impossible. This combined with the size of some of the bullets, (you could hardly see them!), made it incredibly difficult (but not for the right reasons.)
It sort of felt like you needed to play more games in the genre before making this game.
Fun
I love this genre of games and overall this game was enjoyable-
Lots of upgrade options and different shop selections so you can customize your ships abilities, the levels were just long enough, somewhat challenging bosses and plenty of gold bonuses
however I was not too thrilled with the idea of farming levels over again just so i could buy gear- also, while there was a good deal of gold bonuses, sometimes i felt there were a little too many primary weapon bonuses and a staggering amount of negative effects. it felt like i was flying through a minefield, trying to avoid the bad things as well as avoid the weapons i didn't want to switch to.

It's a pretty good game!
OK, the ships are really too big, but that's not a real problem.
The only problem I encountered was, that beyond lvl 16 or so, the sound disappeared. All I heared from then on was a crackling noise on firing weapons.
Even after reloading the game one day later the sound remained cracked.
