Ehh...

It's a nice try, but something about it just doesn't work. I'm so used to WASD that using a one-button system seems a bit clunky, especially because of how difficult it was to time jumps. Sometimes after letting go I'd jump, sometimes not, and the only way to guarantee it was to hold the button down for a while, which didn't work so well on some of the levels. For my part, I say make the levels more difficult and just let us use WASD or the arrow keys, but it was an interesting idea.

This game makes me incredibly sad

It just looks so good and it just feels like an excellent platformer but the controls just sucks all of the enjoyment out of it. Kudos for trying to do something new but this just falls flat on its face, chief. For example, in order to make a jump you have to release the left mouse button, in order to move, you have to hold the left mouse button. So every time you make a jump you move forward a bit and in a game that is based on precision jumping this is pretty devastating. A simple jump over a set of spikes becomes the very form of frustration. This would be solved by just simply moving back. But wait. You can't move back, so if you get an inch to close to the spikes/moving balls, you are pretty much screwed because not only can you not turn back, you ALWAYS move forward with each jump. I'm sorry if I come across as a whiny bitch but the fact that such an excellent platformer is severely brought down by the controls just pisses me off. Were it not for the controls, this game would be an INSTANT 10/10 5/5 from me, great music, great visuals, great gameplay, all screwed up by the controls. Once again, kudos for trying chief but this experiment failed big time. Keep making these type of games, just leave the controls at the door.

Only goes to prove that less isn't always more

The one button controls is quirky and quite frustrating.

It works for Canabalt, but not this.

Meh...

It's a shame that so many of you can't figure out that spikes only hurt those who attempt to land on them. The game is in fact innovative because your character has the common sense to WALK AROUND SPIKES! Sadly that does mean that it has more common sense than some who have already reviewed this game.

ok but

it is sometimes confusing when you try to jump which makes it harder and i couldn't even pass the 12th level but it was kinda fun and a good challenge it should be better too
