Fun web RTS! But there are small problems

I like the achievements, the heroes, and the meteor spells. Destroying the houses and garrisons was pretty satisfying! The resurrecting powers of the Banshee and the zombie infection were also fun elements.

There's a problem with the massacre achievements. On many of the later levels (from third land area onwards) it is impossible to complete the massacre achievements, because the towns run out of people. Even when every building is left standing, the whole population dries up way before you can get the achievement. There doesn't appear to be a way of stopping this from happening, so I think there must be a programming error.

The last level won't let you save after you've completed it, so each time you complete it, and load your game again, it's as if you didn't play the level at all. Please fix this.

I feel like there should be a "deselect troops" option, so that I'm not sending my troops in the direction of where I've just decided to cast a spell, or so I can send just a portion of my troops, not all of them. The only way to deselect my troops was actually clicking the "spell" button, but if you're already on the spell screen, a user wouldn't think to do that.

Last thing, when you're upgrading the meteor spell, the area of influence grows larger, but since each meteor comes one after the other and land in random spots around the area of influence, this has the effect of making the spell less accurate, which is the exact opposite of what should be happening when you upgrade it.

Thanks for a fun game, and I hope these few problems can be fixed in further versions or sequels that might be made.

Finally a true RTS ! :D But some drawbacks :'(

It is the first flash true RTS I ever found (with 2D map, managing of units...). It just leak building but it for the first time it does not matter.
For this reason I can not rate it less than 5. It is "new and hard to do". It deserve kindness.
But the are some drawbacks which are really annoying :
- First of all : units AI. "why the f*** my f****ing units focus the f***ing buildings ???". I think it is better to make AI first attack tiny-moving-with-low-HP-targets than hudge-statics-with-load-of-HP-ones. It is easier for the player to tell his units to attack a building than "that f***ing archer who is hidden by the f***ing buiding"
- The second drawbacks is ... units AI. I don't understand why they don't ignore units who don't attach them (civilians for example) when they are attacked.
-The third is the difficulty to "attack". It is not so important because of the "attack" button but it is frustrating when you want your units to attack someone and they just move to him. Something like a cursor that change when the order make attack would be great.
-The fourth, to me is the zoom which is to close. It is a RTS, we need a general view of the battle field. A view that allow one to see what is attacking his units who are not at the edge of the field.

Though it is still a good game. I would'nt have rated 7 if I didn't think it deserve it. I wouldn't have written long review if I didn't the sequel (or pre-prequel or seprequel or whatever) wouldn't possibly be one of the greatest game ever submited to newgrounds.

To finish, a suggestion. It may be a good idea to allow the player to "group" his units if a more complex sequel is made (or bla bla bla...).

Okay

Personally I liked you infectonator games better, this one is entertaining I suppose but it's kinda boring.

Ads...

It was a nice game, with my only beef gameplay-wise is how slow the start-up is and how retarded the AI is sometimes. And by slow, I mean I got tired of having to command everyone to take 25% of my time (ON EARTH) to destroy the buildings.

Other than that, I have to say, those ads were just really freaking annoying. The game is almost covered in them, and the one time I lost (the first time I saw a hero), it blocked my game with a video ad, which is seriously just kicking me while I'm down. The ads just REALLY take away from the fun of the game when they're so intrusive. There was a slider ad at the bottom left that constantly blocked a couple numbers and always came back when I X'd it out.

3.5 out of 5 (voting 3)

I wish there were ways to individually control certain monsters.
using a double click feature to just select all of THAT monster would make management a lot easier.
I wish there was an option to speed things up.
How small the window is really gave me a head ache.
The music is...really bad I'm sorry I can't come up with a better critique.
