Reviews for "Cute Critter Carnage"

Ehh

More Blood Should Do The Trick!

A Brief Challenge!

The only knock on this game is it's length. I had fun getting the "Godly Score" medal and then there was no reason for me to keep playing the game. Fun, just wish there was further incentive.

No Go Jack.

I've seen and played better games on the backs of cereal boxs. That alone should tell you how horrid this......"Game" was.

You miss even when the damn target is on the little critters and they move a little too fast or in the very least the distance between them and the spikes is WAY too short.

All in all you really didn't think this one through, at least not in the way of gameplay.

Sound effects are missing

Not really a good game, but not really a bad game either. The basics are all there: A working game mechanic, time limit, a score counter. But I think the game can be quite hard for a beginner, since the animals are moving at a pretty high speed. It's also sometimes very frustrating when you click and click, but you keep missing the critter. Some indication of where you are shooting would be nice (bullets flying, or some sort of impact on the background).

I was also missing sound effects here. A simple splash noise when an animal is hit (either by a bullet or by a spike) and of course some gun fire sounds.

A little repetitive

I can see how some people can get obsessed with this game, since all of the floating animals seem to follow exactly the same pattern. It's not the best of mouse shooter games that I've ever seen, neither is it the worst, so that's good.

What I would say is that there are a few bits and pieces that I'd change, to make the game better. Gravity, i.e. I'd have the spikes at the base of the image and I'd drop the animals onto them. The game surface could be made bigger and so could the targets, just to make it slightly easier for the beginner - do you need half a screen dedicated to the stats, time remaining and so forth? Finally, I'd add a few more breeds of critter that is falling to their doom - you're trying to put them out of their misery, before they get made into some sort of roadkill pie, so why not have badgers, raccoons, skunk and the like falling alongside the squirrels?

A good effort, but I'd love to see a new version, with bigger targets.
