Very Hard and Not Fun
It is very hard to hit the animals. Even with spam click, you have about fifty percent chance to hit the target. Doing well in this game has requires some skill and mostly luck.
It would be nice to see different challenge levels. How about a way to power up your shots? A slow down power up would really help.
If every review complains about "hit box ", maybe you should adjust it. Constructive criticism can only help you as a programmer.
I suck at this...
It's a bit strange that the critters are "falling" up, kind of throws off my target-leading skills. Also a bit weird that we have to kill something before they... die. Yeah.
From title alone, I expected some sort of nasty splatter graphics, and was pleasantly surprised by the lack thereof. The graphics are decent, however simplistic. Possibly a falling animation, as well as an indicator of whether a shot has been fired, and a few SFX would increase this game's overall appeal.
As far as the interface goes, the gameplay is quite challenging. Maybe a little too challenging. Being only 60 seconds long, I find myself at the loading screen a little too much for my liking. The targets are hard to hit, and the frustration factor is certainly there.
Overall, a decent game. Not the best I've seen, but certainly not the worst.

Fun yet hard
The medals are worth playing for as well. The game itself was quite fun to play and I did enjoy it for the most part. The graphics were very nice.
The only weird part of the game for me is that it felt like the gravity was off as if the animals were being tossed up to the spikes rather than falling onto them. Weird isn't it?
The graphics were pretty great here as well. Like the background area showing leaves and woods and nuts for the most part. The side was cool where it just felt like the animals were looking at you too. The blood splattering against the text on the title screen was cool as well.
The game play was fun yet hard for the most part. Mostly because of how fast the squirrels were moving to the spikes. That and shooting at them sometimes will miss even if you hit them, not bad though, adds more to the challenge as you say.
The audio used was also quite nice and fitting as well here. It kind of made you feel a bit rushed to shoot at them as well which makes it all the more fun to the player.
The game itself is fun and challenging in many ways.
Overall, great game for game jam 5, really enjoyed it.

Secret medal
To obtain the secret medal don't hit any animal, also i have to agree with the comments below. The hit detection was pretty bad and the game was too short.
