Picked Medusa because I really like ancient greek aesthetics and wanted to draw snakes, but the whole design evolved while I was reading up on greek mythology, which is even weirder than I remember..

Finally took the time to compile all of the concept work for Out of Order (an older, shelved project of mine) into a simple digital artbook. This was a fun thing to do, and pretty nostalgic!
One of Skoops' posts inspired me to try my hand at a chibi style again, so here's a wip of smol Lago. Currently cleaning up and separating body parts for animation. I wanted to animate her transforming tail for some time now, and doing it in this style seems a lot less time-consuming. Spine2D also got a new physics feature I want to try out..

Worked on these animations on- and off while preparing to go freelance, so it took a while.
I had to nerf the background a bit to avoid gif compression artifacts, but there's also a static image with a slightly more detailed background in the Art Portal upload:
