Sexual abuse is something that is terrible and yet terribly common. Though that doesnt make gay people. Having someone speak for me or anyone else when not only do they not know me, but are also completely willingly ignorant of anything that wouldnt dismiss us so easily, is infuriating at best. Did being sexually exploited really make me so? No. I grew up nonconforming without anyones help or desire. My family very much did not approve of me being so, yet I was. I wore feminine attire, acted as such, had feelings for other men as you would a woman, all before anyone ever put the idea in my head or even so much as touched a hair on mine. Was I open about it? Yes. Did that lead to me getting abused? Yes. Instead of dismissing me and everyone else on a topic you wouldnt begin to know about, you should consider closing your mouth. Being abused did not make me this way. Me being this way led to me being abused. And you ignoring that is proof you not only dont care, but want yet another reason to dismiss the gays. But I dont really see who's surprised anymore.

The first "possible" explanation isn't even relevant to my original statement because I specified early sexual trauma as a precursor to the development of homosexual ideations. You can't come out (revealing same-sex sexual orientation) until after you turn gay.

The second explanation is a given. I acknowledge the fact that many homosexuals are abused based on their orientation. I've seen it. You've probably experienced it. It's an ugly reality.

Because this is the only one that actually makes sense, especially in relation to my original statement as I previously mentioned.

Anecdotals alone are inadequate counters in the sphere of objective discussion. There are other nurture factors that can contrbute to this outcome - like how present and influencial one's father figure was in their formative years.
