I felt like there were some people at my school during my freshman year (2021-2022) that definitely knew about Newgrounds, not just for Friday Night Funkin', but also knew about stuff like Tankmen, Spooky Month, etc. As well as that, some people would recognize my Newgrounds shirt, and the first person to do so was my history teacher which came as a surprise to me.

Most people I've spoken too from my experience just remember Newgrounds as like some relic of the old days of the internet. From what I remember, they mainly remember it for its games, soundboards and animations, like Salad fingers.

I actually prefer Newgrounds over DeviantArt, and sure Newgrounds is not perfect but it's better than DeviantArt, since Newgrounds does not allow AI art, a major factor attracting me here, and that DeviantArt is just a mess. Also I told some friends I posted on Newgrounds, and they were surprised that it was still around, thinking it shut down along with Flash. Also Newgrounds does porn censorship better, as on DeviantArt, people will just post their fetishes without putting on a filter while Newgrounds allow the option to see art of different ratings.
