I could write a rave review and add a few 100 word essay on my thoughts about this.
The only bad thing about marijuana is that it has been known to cause schizophrenia if taken too often, thats the only bad case scenario I've heard. Besides that this drug is no more harmful than alcohol, though hydroponic marijuana is being grown internationally and is A LOT more harmful than natural bush marijuana, the amount of chemicals added speed side effects as stated above.
When compared to the violent outbreaks etc. alcohol causes marijuana isn't so bad. In Australia here we do not get as much "anti-drug awarness programs" on TV, our government has a greens party that wishes to legalize marijuana, this way they can distribute BUSH marijuana that isn't harmful and they are allowed to control the dosage given out, also this would reduce the amount of people addicted to heroin, cocaine ecstacy etc due to the amount of easiness it is to just go down to the local general practitioner and grab a cone. The amount of dosage would probably be around 2-3 cones a week i would presume. The system is an excellent one I think alot of countries could do well to introduce.
As for portaying marijuana as a gateway dug, I was taught in school it was a gateway drug and you should say no, my parents on the other hand taught me better. My parents believed a small amount of pot doesn't do any harm to anyone, they taught me the differences between heroin and marijuana, I know a man personally who smokes marijuana whose friend died of heroin overdose, the point is that you need to teach children about the world from a young age, teach them what a paedophile is, teach them the difference between a white cone and white powder, teach them that nothing is ever grouped into just drugs or evil or good, it is split up into small specific groups (reffer to Donnie Darko's : "put the mark on the line between love and fear", the kind of things people teach in school needs to be updated to incorporate all different drugs and not just marijuana as I've been told).
So much for not going into a rant.
