Just to let everyone know;

Tomorrow I´ll be picking up the key to my new home, and my parents are gonna help me out with taking some stuff there. This mean I´m gonna be quite busy, because on top of this, the deadline for the judges is set for tomorrow! If some judges ain´t in time, then I´ll turn to the backupjudges (you know who you are:) and will expect a rather fast work from these.
As a backupjudge, the most important thing is to get the score in, so we can rank the top 20.

I do not have broadband at my place yet, but my school do, and i have access to the school 24/7. I just have to get the key so I can use this computer, since the mac´s on the school doesnt seem to accept my mp3-player, where i keep some of the files I need for continuing this contest.

So, if anyone wonders where the hell I´m at tomorrow (monday), I´m doing stuff, and i´ll be around! :)

There will be a slight delay on the announcing of the top 20.

There are a number of reasons for this, the biggest one is my "fault". I have major techincal dificulties with accessing the correct info i need for working on the MAC, wich is on my laptop. now times up, ill explain more tomorrow or in a few hours, if i get the time to get back to the school arghhhhh.....

Anything I can do to help? I'v fixed up my online internet problems.

A NOTE ON THE FINAL SCORES!!!

- To all of you who made the top 20 -

The final scores are not yet ready but before they are posted I want you to understand the scoring system a little better.

Each of 6 attributes is assigned a score between 0 and 10, then there is a little math that multiplies a couple of averages...

The final scores will range from 0 to 100 but it is not a linear system and

Basically, if you got all 5's your total score would be 25 NOT 50

This was done so that there would be less of a chance for ties.

It's important that you keep this in mind so that when you eventually see your scores you don't freak out because they are lower than what you may have expected.

Anything over 40 or so is a very good score.

Only the very best scoring submissions will see the higher scores and it's damn difficult to get scores in the 90's.

I have a question though the scoring system and all that the person who comes in 1st does not mean they won right? It is after all Utah's choice. When does he say who he wants?

I will soon enough..I'm terribly busy with alot of things right now, and want to write out some comments for the top 20 along with the winner(s) when I get a chance..hopefully in the next 2 days.

Basicly you can say that there are 2 different contests. One is what Utah chooses, and then we have the "independent judging". The word "independent" (independent from Utah, to be more precise)isn´t 100% independent, beause utah picked the ones who qualified for the top 20.

Now it´s up to the judges to vote, and when all votes are in a winner will be announced on radiogrounds.com by _altr_ as a DJ. The show will have a few cool things going on, but more info about that later on.
Obviously all scores must be in order for that show to be able to announce the winnerm so yeah, more info to follow... :)

At first the show was supposed to be today, tuseday, but due to me getting owned by technical problems and short on time (hey, i was moving about the same time previous month too!:) there is a delay. I have still not recieved all judgements, so im gonna take call in a few backupjudges.

Now I hope we can get a date for the show, and as it looks, we´re looking at the weekend, so that as many as possible can follow the show, we get time to word it out, and all that jazz!

Meh, now it looks im being kicked out of here in 30 min, gotta get to work fast :)

People are retarded. I think that if you can't do what you signed up for, dont sign up.

If you say you're going to do something, you should be bound to doing it correctly.

that is the weakest link in all the audio contests. Reliable judges. I don't blame them, it is quite energy consuming writing reviews, especially when you are asked to do it, instead of when you're feeling "generous"

You don't need to do that maestro. It wouldn't be fair to yourself.

And it's not so hard. I gave 10 decent length reviews 5 in one night the other 5 the next morning in less than an hour.

If judges arn't judging they have no excuses I feel. If there are misunderstandings or problems (which happened with me at first but it is fixed now) that is understandable but to just not do what you VOLUNTEERED for is... I feel lazy, selfish, and unfair.

Tho' that's just my opinion. And of course; it's not something i'd exactly hate or hold a grudge against a person for. It would just be an inconveniance.

Of course there may always be unforeseen circumstances. I don't think Rucklo would select a judge who would purposely delay the contest.
Let's just file this under the unavoidable inconveniences of getting started on a legendary project!

I hate to have to wait until weekend for the results though.

In terms of past happenings like this, I have to face up...I was a judge for last month's contest, and failed to get my reviews in because my computer got totally fucked...So sorry about that one.

This month I got everything in on time though ^^

Meh, judging happens when it happens, doesn't bother me, I'm a pretty patient person.

I want them to take as much time as they need to make sure they do a good job of it.

Not sure where Rucklo is - I know he's pretty busy at the moment - Rucklo can yell at me if I'm messing anything up but I'd like to try to get some results put together - I know that several of you are very anxious to see the results.

My offer still stands, if results are not coming in fast enough I am willing to drop my entry for the individual judging.
