Can any of you guys give me tips on how to make my commander stand out from the others? Also, what kind of names are given in the 41st millenium? Some people have names that can be used now( Lukas Alexander, Thomas Maccabee, Davian Thule) while others have names that would seem funny if used in the 21st century ( Obadiah, Yarrick, Eliphas) because I want to name my guardsmen and give them a short bio so they won't be a typical rank and file ImpG army.

I'd suggest that you use your imagination. Try to use names which fit with the theme of your figure/army.

Well converting and/or a good paint job is a good idea

Well I guess you can use the unsimplified versiouns of regular names(Richard instead of Rick, Thomas instead of Tom/Tommy, etc.)

A Call to all 40k ers

My Battlefleet Gothic series fizzled out, so Im putting together a comeback in an interactive game format.
I need voice actors and people willing to throw in ideas for music and whatnot.
PM me if youre interested in making a contribution.

I have music. You can listen to it in my flash. (Only place I've got it other than my harddrive)

It is the season to be asking questions.

I'm looking for people willing to help me as co-judges in a writing contest. I'm looking for people who can be both critical, constructive and down to earth.

Drop me a message here or through a PM if interested.

Ah great, just what we need!

We need more 40K flashes. Make one of those.

What do you gys think of this? I just started it yesterday, so it's not even close to being done. I still have to put in sound FX and BG music.

Its okay for something you started yesterday, but may I reccomend different sprites? Seriously these sprites are very small, also it would be better if you re-wrote the text, it sounds kinda awkward.

Get someone to write it for you or get a spell checker, those typos are painful. As for the sprites, most of them don't look very 40k-ish. Just generic Advance Wars rips.

Well it worked. Currently I only have a couple of non-helmeted space marines to Nigrafy, and then I'll move on to my Orks. I probably wouldn't have gone so far without the extra determination from seeing a very epic picture that I just posted onto our Gallery .

Now all I need now is some banners with the fresh prince lyrics on them.

Also here's a fairly simple l tutorial on how to make your own Afro warriors:

1. Find some of those cushiony things in the Blister packs. (If you don't have any, you might be able to mooch some off from your nearest GW provider)

2. Cut out 2 squares from the cushions. A little less than 2 cm is a good size for human-sized models, also try to have one square slightly larger than the other

3. Take the smaller square and put its tips together to form a ball, glue the tips together with super glue MAKE SURE TO HAVE VERY SMALL DROPS OF IT SO THE CUSHION WON'T GET RUINED!!

4. Take the larger square and wrap it around the smaller one. Make sure that the center of the large square is where the rough(because of the glue) are of the small square, and the tips connect at the area where there was no glue.

5. Glue the large square's tips over the area I specified in step 4, make sure to use as little glue as possible to avoid roughness.

6. After the afro is dry (this shouldn't take long) put some glue on the head of your chosen model and press it there in order to have a good position. Make sure to try pressing it on without glue beforehand to make sure it will look and stick good. As the Afro making process requires some trial and error it best to try this one some basic troopers first before moving up to the more important ones.

7. After the afro is set paint it your desired color (usually black) painting it will hopefully hide the dried glue as well as other mistakes you might have made.

Now your warrior is ready to close some pools in the name of Afroduck!

Also this might be a good way to make your commander stand out from the rest of your troops, just make sure to practice making afros beforehand in order to not ruin him and give him a good afro he deserves.

I got them from panelmonkey.org Pretty much the only 40K sprites I could find. And I'm not good at spriting.

Two questions for you guys:

One.

Could somebody post their "art" in the Warhammer Gallery So I won't have to keep posting those awesome pics that sadly aren't mah work?

Two.

Do you actually wait to notice this thread in the clubs and crews or do you just search Warhammer and check if there's new posts?
