Reviews for "Halloween Reprisal"

K

^^Good Points^^
This is a great game, no doubt. The graphics are definitely the best part in this. The scenes were all unique and were drawn very realistically. Great shading and animations too. The violence was top notch, it was surprisingly fun to kill a bunch of little ghosts. I liked the storyline in this, it was pretty fun to play.

^^Needs Improving^^
This get's old after a while. I found that even after 25 kills, the little dudes still didn't fight back, which was when I stopped playing. You should have added some more fun to this.

Rammer responds:

i'm sick of telling people about the lack of challenge. look through the past few reviews next time you critique someone's work; they may have been told this before and/or cleared it up, already.

you're one of the few that liked the storyline. people thought it was a serious attempt at a story, and it's really just one of those "heh" kind of things.

thanks for the review mr. review request club member person-face.

Cool!

I read thro the other reviews and everyone says "no challenge" so im not even gonna comment on it other than to say that it was fun and i think with alittle work you could turn this is into a really cool game. i give it an 8 overall. Good Job!

Rammer responds:

my GOD!! where have you been through the rest of my games?! D:

NO ONE ELSE has read through the reviews before actually reviewing! this was especially notable on my lackluster game, Rammer - dodger, where i LITERALLY had nearly 60 reviews of "this is too easy, the spears don't fall a lot until level 8, i'm playing as i'm typing this".

anyway, thanks. if there were any parts you didn't like about this, be sure to tell me! i know i can always improve, but with people just saying vaguely that i can improve, it's not gonna happen.

Was good...

Good animator - Bad coder.

It needs a lot of work on the coding part... The concept is good but it becoms boring after the first 20 kids... Because they don't attack you at all... Also, the character can't look back. It has to walk backwards...

Keep up the good work man.

Rammer responds:

i'm not a bad coder ):

not to excuse my rather lackluster coding, but this WAS a new type of game i coded. the AI got insanely complicated when asking for candy, so i had to take that out, hence the lack of challenge. we were also on a rather small deadline. i asked Blaze several times for a turning around sprite for the skeleton, but he was working on backgrounds and other things. he never got around to it.

Hehehe

Just when you feel like trearing kids in half along come a game like this. Which lets you poke their eyes out and step on them too. Brutally short (although any longer and i would have fallen asleep) with loveable characters for you to tear apart. Cute, atmospheric, and cold. A little more story wouldn't have gone astray on such a short game, but hey. Nice effort guys, look forward to your stuff in the future :)

Rammer responds:

thanks (:

Nothing to new

It's a good idea but not well done, you should thing about some upgrades and may be some more types of enemy , the thing that i like is when the skeleton walks backwards looks just like MOONWALK LOL.

Rammer responds:

yeah, but each enemy needs to die in the same ways as the current enemy. so that means that diego would have to animate 7 different deaths for every different enemy. depending on how many enemies there are, that's a LOT of work
