Its good up until it become unplayable

Its not a bad game, it just needs some serious revamp on some parts. I had to play it a second time to not get overwhelmed and even then when I got to the cave, the falling bugs raped me while I was trying to take down the giant worm thing. I know the game encourages smart use of energy(which is a good system) but energy just seems so scarce in the first place.

If you worked on the amount of enemies, the amount of gathered energy, and the damage the enemies do after a certain point, the game would be 5/5 material. Unfortunatly, its a waste of powerful potential. The story and the system for power-up are great.

P.S. The weapons charge times are what kept me on the edge of life or death. A little more forgiving please?

What the hell?

Dude, the old game was fun, playable, maybe it had a super ass raping difficulty curve going from boredom to all your weapons won't fire and the enemy is swarming, but at least it wasn't this. I know you tried to add things to make the game more fun, maybe a tad easier, but this comes off as nothing more than a frustrating mess. I mean, I died the first time as the jump takes you up but hardly lets you go forward at all, and then the second time I fell into a pit right as a notice screen came up and went back and forth between two pits until my health depleted.

The lack of a save function makes the whole thing really, really bad as it's difficult and complicated. I mean, you have to be perfect.

Now, in comparison, the old game was much better, even though this only supposedly builds on that. The problem is the new stuff makes the old problems worse. I mean, all of the old issues are still there yet to be resolved: the shot gun turns into a useless laserbeam, you have to juggle guns constantly all while under constant attack, the upgrades are never strong enough to deal with the new enemies, and meanwhile, you have creatures that are difficult to kill with anything but a single kind of shot and if that shot is out of charge, you're just screwed.

Take it back, tweak it, add a save feature, and try not to create a game that's this frustrating to play.

needs a save function, weapon evolutions that arn't worse than the original weapon, a quality setting, and a status button on the keyboard

K, seriously F*CK this game

I played this FOREVER and got past the second beacon FINALLY and when I tried to get up on the ledge, I fell down. Okay, whoops right? WRONG, when I fell into the green pit thing I was pushed back up and OVER the tiny bit of land sandwiched between the pit I fell into and the one next to it, the character then began to bounce back and forth between the original hole I fell in and the second hole nearby, never once landing on anything solid and I died, losing all my progress because of it. Normally I wouldn't complain in the least. I'd try again and be extra careful but it happened before that in a different spot TWICE, so don't blame me for lack of patience. I love the concept, the story, and the previous game and its an extremely rare occurrence for me leave anything but I nice, contructive reviews, but get your shit straight, cmon...

4 stars for graphics, gameplay, story and creativity
-6 stars for numerous glitches, control flaws (such as not being able to see the ground when you jump and incredibly slow movement) and not having a pause KEYBOARD button

3/5 cuz it's REALLY fun when it doesnt piss everyone off
