Reviews for "The humans are dead"

Like it a lot.

It has it's mistakes.
Like I feel as if no one race of robots has a usable advantage but they have weaknesses that really do hamper you.
And the races don't strategize wisely. They choose who to attack seemingly at random, whether it is the smartest in the long run or not. Logic dictates that they would destroy the biggest threat at any given time. Robots being logical creations would most likely not act in this way because it tilts the balance of power further in their biggest threats favor.
But I digress. It is challenging strategically. I played this on another site months ago and it just stuck with me so I hunted it down. Excellent strategy game.
Possibly make another?

CAN YOU DECIPHER IT?

What the hell is that thing?

nice but...

this game should be more balance in combat, i keep vs blue and yellow all time and yet i upgrade my attack to +9 and keep losing to +0atack units. that really piss me off, i spent 2h for 1 match and cant win cause they keep attack.

Still have my 5/5 though :|

Almost

I would of given this way higher but not for the reavers. They are supposed to be a game balancer I guess but really they just help the enemy. Instead of a one on one, every three rounds I'm defending against twice as many enemies. I know it's a resource thing but being stuck with enough green and yellow to do nothing doesn't mean I'm winning. An option to do without would be better, less ameritrash.

Good fun with a few small issues

I really enjoyed playing this game, once I understood what was going on. I'd really like to see a 'real' board game version of it.
That said, there were a few issues I had with the game as I played. First of all, the defence robots, and the way they are able to interact with each other to provide bonuses, is never really explained. I noticed that simply having another defence robot next to one that is attacked does not always provide the bonus, and since it is never explained in depth I was unable to figure out exactly what determined it.
Secondly, something I found quite irritating was the inability to check to what level your opponent(s) has researched Combat and Speed values, as it is a factor in deciding whether or not to attack, and the 'war advisor' figures don't seem to always match up to what I'd expect.
The AI seems to be flawed to a degree, in that I have often seen it stockpile huge amounts of resources without spending them, even when it could save them from a losing spiral.
There also seems to be very little variety in the evolution cards, and I would start seeing the same ones appearing very rapidly in a single game.
Finally, I think the lack of some kind of multiplayer is a bit of a shame, as this is the kind of game I would love to play against someone.
All that said, I think the concept and design are excellent, and the execution is overall very good. Graphically everything is to a high standard and the sounds/music fit perfectly. A very fun game that only slightly suffers from a few niggles!
