Reviews for "I Can't Escape"

I like the graphics alot, but it's lagging way too much for enjoyment (or creeping-me- out-ment) in my webkit based browser. In Firefox the game is not moving at all.
It seems to only run in full screen, which is a very bad choice. Also for dark games newgrounds has the 'dim lights' option, so there's no a real need for the full screen.

This is most likely caused because the game is running in software mode, and it needs to run on the graphics card to render realtime. The game now detects if you are running in software mode and gives you an error if you are. If you are running in software mode, try updating your flash player or graphics driver - that will *usually* solve the problem!

As for fullscreen, I feel strongly that it should be played in fullscreen. If you really prefer not to, however, you can hit escape to exit fullscreen mode. Clicking anywhere on the game will return to fullscreen mode, so you'll have to use the keyboard.

Why do I have to play it on fullscreen? Is the an option to play it like every other game?

The navigation was annoying; the amount of space you moved was so awkward.
The game wasn't scary either. I assumed that the lower you went, the scarier it got, so I kept trying to find the pitfalls, and went down about twenty levels, and all that appeared was the occasional ghost out of the corner of my eye, and the eyes on the wall.

interesting concept, but there was no navigation system, which means you can get lost easily, which would be fine since you're going for a creepy atmosphere, but it really wasnt that creepy, unnerving or scary. just kinda boring. I thought the two enemies were not scary or creepy, even the black thing that rises up near the bottom of the game is just kinda boring. tried it again knowing about the hidden pitfalls, and i ended up walking into them anyway because i was too bored to pay attention.

Interesting concept, cool graphics, but completely lacking in any sort of fun. Almost every time you find a ladder with no black spot under it and think you've made some progress, nope, you fall through the floor anyway. Terrible game mechanic. Makes the whole experience seem impossible and frustrating rather than rewarding and fun...

Seems like you're having trouble spotting the hidden pits! The game does like taunting you and pushing you down deeper - that's where the fun is!
