Reviews for "Mars Colonies Demo"

Great game, couldn't stop playing it, had to finish it all. I liked all the components of it.

My only complaint is that it's too short. If you could make more levels, or a sequel with some new modules and missions, that would be excellent. This is a fantastic RTS, very well made. Took a little thought to figure out how to get stuff hooked up at first. I played an earlier version and I really like the updates you've made already.

Awesome game!

Needs a sandbox mode however.

You have captured my imagination and taken it hostage on a trip to Mars.

I love resource management / RTS styled games that do not focus on a constant, back and forth, 'see-saw' action, that most people try to pass off as a 'strategy game'.

The difficulty progression is decent too. I like the part where I think I'm totally safe from the baddies, and suddenly, a drop ship full of more baddies lands next to my base and I'm like, "Fuuuhck."

I would even buy a game like this if it had a little more polish, more buildings, and keyboard shortcuts for construction.

Many many things to like about this game. Just as an example, I love seeing my little guys run around shooting lasers at space pirates, etc.

Reading some other comments, it is apparent that you need to better explain some things - for example, the specific way power and water needs to be connected to buildings (which, imho, isn't really necessary), and how to tell when something isn't being built because you don't have the appropriate resources (it's not immediately obvious that you can tell people to build structures despite not having the necessary resources). And it could definitely use more missions. And I found it confusing that metal extractors could run out of metal - but the resource icons still show up on the underground radar.

Great game, I hope to see more like this!
