Nice game

The graphics are enjoyable, the gameplay is a combination of Dune and Majesty at it's best as far as i've seen. The storyline and the game as a whole could be a bit longer, though, and i thought it needs a few more music tracks.

Still, this game is awesome-tastic :D

Very neat game that I am enjoying quite a lot right now...
BUT, please update the worker's programming so that they have a higher priority for building pipes/cables. I had ppl leave my colony because nobody could be bothered to connect the hydroponic plant to the grid or hook up the powerplant etc.
It really is no fun when you have all the buildings finished, but there is no water or electricity to run the things, just because the workers are doing anything but lay pipes/cables...

There's sure a lot of negative comments from people who don't have any clue how complex this game must have been to create.

This game is very enjoyable. I in particular thought it had some very lovely art and pixel animation, in very much the vein of the classic command and conquer games. The buildings upgraded in a visually pleasing way. I hope that there are plans for an expanded sequel with more features like that.

As others have certainly said, I think that a great deal of unnecessary frustration arises with many of the orders being more 'suggestions'. For instance, let's say there's a chunk of mineral in the way that you want colonists to focus on first (either to get out of the way or because it's not near a horde of space pirates). You can indicate that you'd like them to do that first, but they tend to just ignore that.

I'm resisting the urge to complain about there being less military emphasis, because it's not a war game it's a colonization game. That said, I hope in future expansions that there could be more in-depth mechanics (research trees, variety of perks and possibly ways to upgrade less-skilled employees and eliminate faults or earn/purchase perks, etc.)

I thought it struck an excellent balance as far as employee needs and available resources. It was a great deal of the tension and interest of the game to determine whether or not I was going to pay for less-skilled workers to amass them more quickly or save up for better ones, whether I was going to need to work on component sufficiency or food first, etc.

I thought that the tutorial mission could have been more illustrative of certain aspects, particularly addressing various needs, the functions of every building, the various perks and faults, and leveling.

I continue to find achievements where you have to guess what the game wants you to do to be frustrating, but that's a matter of taste I suppose.

All-in-all, excellent game, best of luck in your future submissions.

Awesome game; it has a bit of a learning curve but it is worth it; I wish it had more missions. Playing fullscreen is a must. Quick start: build Living Quarters, ramp population to 4, build Personal Module in a good defensive location, under Jobs ensure all workers can Collect Minerals, mark nearby minerals, ramp population to 7, upgrade Personal Module to Bunker. After you have 1 Hydroponics and 1 Oxygen Station, ramp population to 10; after you have 2 each, ramp to 13-16. Plumbing and electrical are expensive; build structures close together and only what you need; electric cables and water lines can overlap. Avoid combat until you are ready; click nearby minerals to mark them for collection to keep workers close to home; if a worker wanders into combat, tractor beam and drop them back at base. Upgrade your Personal Modules to Bunkers to help defend your base; upgrade the Living Quarters with a Medical Bay so workers can heal after combat; click the pirate capsule immediately after it lands to mark it for destruction. Extract metal for the entire game; after a Metal Extractor runs dry AND its stock reaches 0/0, demolish it so it stops consuming electricity. When there are no further places to store Components, the Component Factory will wait, and then the Metal Extractor will wait. The game runs faster when a building/person is not highlighted.
