OK, tomorrow I might go to Games Workshop for the first time so I can get started on the game. I'm both interested in collecting Space Marines and Tau Empire, but mostly interested with Tau Empire as my main army. Since I'd like to start with a set like Battle of Black Reach so I can start with two armies to play with, I was wondering if the store would swap armies from the box with the army you would like instead of Orks. (Depending on the equivalent of how many points it's worth per army, or how much the armies are worth in cost)

FOAME, Im pretty sure that the tau army is allowed to use Imperial guard shock troopers that will have the option of buying the taus basic weapon (Bleh, cant remember the name of it) in Armageddon mode tau can team with virtually any army. I havent played wh40k for so long and was just browsing around and remembered about the club. K bai

Starting collecting a new army, Chaos Army. Got some Khorne Bloodletters, mainly just be an army of Khorne and not many chaos marines.

Well, on Saturday, I finally went to Games Workshop to pick up my first sets. When I got there I played a demo game of it, and talked with a worker there on how I should start. Anyway, I got the Assault On Black Reach Set, Chaos Black Primer, the Citadel hobby starter kit, and a case. Since then, I managed to build about 20 models out of the 49 in the Black Reach set.

When it comes to the reg. Space Marines that only need the thing on the back attached and the guns, do I just leave the guns off the model until after they are primed?

Lol, it's been a LONG time since l last posted here, so what happened during my absence?

Since my GW was out of Tau Empire Codex's last week, I ordered one at the store on Sunday when I went there. I decided to go and check if they had my order in today, and so I got my Tau Codex today. It looks amazing, and there's a lot of awesome artwork in there.

Yesterday, I went to my GW for the Secret Santa they were having, and I ended up getting a Tau Develfish. My stores also doing this giveaway thing pretty soon.

Did anyone here get anything Warhammer 40K for Christmas? I ended up getting a Tau Empire Battle Force, which I was in the store when bought, along with Warhammer Online, and a $40 giftcard to GW.

I'm wanting to get into 40k, and I'm fairly sure I want to play Chaos Space Marines. Regular Space Marines are too overplayed and Orks focus too much on MOAR DAKKA.

They focus too much on WAGHHH actually.

Is anyone interested/buying the new Ork releases? Even though I'm focusing more on my Tau army right now, I might buy some of those Ork Stormboyz to add to my basic Black Reach army. They look really nice.

Anyone here? Anyway, I'm almost done with painting my small Ork army that came with the Black Reach set. I learned that if I paint ALL the models in a set of about 20 models using an assembly line style, I can get a lot done in a day or two.

Hey i started the hobby last year sometime and all my mates use newgrounds so i decided to take a look around for a WH40k club on newgrounds to bring those together :D

anyway I play Chaos and have about 2000pts. Im currently working on repainting them from black legion to a red colour scheme with varying shoulder pads for each squad.

Kinda cool that there's a Warhammer crew. My favorite race is Eldar. I don't play the tabletop but I have loads of the books and play Dawn of War.

i go down to my nearest gw on saturdayz and have 1000 points of eldar any painted models are painted awesomly im ordering some metal space marines to paint for a painting competion and will post picks after a paint them! i used to collect chaos but then i gave up on them and went to normal warhammerwhere i collected vampires then went back to 40k to collect eldar
