Reviews for "Alphaland"

eh!!!

ok, im giving it a 2 because the controls are good, and the music kinda fitting, and since its a minimalist game i suppose the graphics are good.
but honestly i didn't get this at all, i dont understand what im meant to be doing im collecting coins which seem to do nothing, i just seem to be bouncing around the with no real intention. dont get me wrong i enjoy abstract art games as much as the next guy but this really seemed to be lacking purpose, if you gave me some idea as to where its meant to be going or what the point is then it would be a whole lot better.

due to the fact that everyone seems to be rating this so higly makes me think that mabey i have missed the point of this game, if thats the cse then do forgive me.

Crazy.

Bout all I can say...that and the music gave it that really creepy vibe.

Mind = Blown

I'm not even totally sure what I just played. I mean, a game about Alphas to say the least, but it's clearly something more than that, and gives a unique perspective.

The graphics and minimalistic style work really well for the atmosphere and message you're trying to portray. Anything more and the games "story" if you will would have kind of gotten lost.

The sounds are great, and you used great music for it. As I played I found it all to be slightly unnerving. The music really helped to get the "I am afraid" message across, whilst the end song is very uplifting and soothing. Making it spiritual was a very good choice.

The game-play itself is simple. No bugs in the controls, nothing complicated. Very easy to just pick up and play. Nothing more i can say about that.

I'd say an 8/10 simply because some people may have trouble understanding the point of the game, as little explanation is offered other than the strange messages and text your find in Alphaworld, so it's really not a game for everyone, but all in all, you've done a great job.

great game

just loved it, at first it is confusing, but it really comes around very quickly for all the stuff going on but not going on, controls were perfect, and it was just a complete game yet just a simple platformer... fantastic job

I am afraid...

It's interesting... at first, I found the "indie-game-introspectives" a bit cliche, and almost comically predictable ... but after you spend a good 15 minutes pushing through the world, you kinda get attached to that little blue dude... at which point, the phrases have a little more impact.

overall very nice work :)
