the tau are confusing as hell...........i bought one of their battlesuits and put it together as a fun project it came out nicely except that the model broke off the post (satana gockida) so now i have to glue it on.......

I have a question for you all: I was thinking about buying two Azrael figures. One I would glue and paint normally. The other, well you know guy that hold his helmet for him? I was thinking about cutting it from his hands and using it for Azrael's head. I would fasion some green stuff for the neck(and the back of the helmet, if need be). I have never seen the figure unassembled so if his head is attached to his body I will simply decapitate him.
Do you think this can be done, and if so, do you think it can be done a bit on the simple side?

well interesting idea i think what youll want to do is get a dremel tool and after you clip off azraels head smooth out the area where his head was to create a socket for the helmet. taking off the helmet from the servant will be a pain in the neck. what i would do is get a normal space marine helmet and clip off the wings from the helmet and glue them on to the new helmet, then glue the new Helm of Lion on to Azrael. hope this helps!

What about the loin emblem on the forehead? Should I carve that off?

I was also thinking about buying Cypher and taking the loin blade to replace the Sword of Secrets. Which sword is more powerful, and is that even allowed?

It'd only be allowed if whomever you were playing against would agreee to it. Otherwise you have a nicely converted Azrael to use in tournaments, but he counts as the normal Azrael.

not if you can, it is the Lion Helm. but that is a hard convertion if you do clip the whole helmet out, far harder than the plastic beserker helmet i converted for my emperor's champion! Good luck, post pics when it's done!

well if i remember right there should be a plastic helmet with a skull on it

idk about that that is alot of conversion work. i would leave it alone to save some money and convo work

I know this is the WH40K club, but I'm gonna tlak about Warhammer related things here anyway. So I got past enough of the writers block I mentioned earlier to get my short story started. Do you guys think this is a good idea for a short story? A witch hunter was turned into a blood dragon vampire while trying to kill one of those creatures. The story is his flashback of the past couple hours of him hunting down a necrarch as he falls from the top of it's tower. Remember, it's a short story, not a full novel.

Sorry, I realise how hard that must be to understand. He's falling from the top of the necrachs tower, and flashes back a few hours to hunting it down.

Life tends to flesh before your eyes moments before death or other painfull things. That might be an explanation for you.

So which World record did you break?

And as a pityful attempt at showing that I haven't been idling my precious time away with just reading, writing and bossing my minions around, here's a crummy and silly gif animation I made.

I don't need an explanation of why, I need to know if you people think it's a good idea and if it'd be something you'd interested in reading. Oh, and I've had 3 near death experiences, my life didn't flash before my eyes during any of them.

I would, while I don't play fantasy, I am an avid reader of the Fantasy books range, so why not.

I dont have the models yet. I'll try to buy and complete them next month.
And I will post pictures once it's done. In fact, once I finish Abaddon I will post his pic too!

Hey, do you guys think Azrael with helmet will look better with or without his banner? I'll probably leave the banner on, but it's just an idea. I was thinkg about trading his gun for the Cannoness' gun, but it looked rather complicated so I'll leave him with his normal gun. Chaos was fun, but I think Dark Angels will be my favorite of all!

Let me guess, the ladies and flies fell for you as easy as that?

So wait, you are now in that book as the guy that had a pair of pants on for six months?

I'm praying to God (even though I don't believe) that you mean Trousers (american meaning of pants) and not underwear (original meaning of pants)!

Good point, that does make a rather stinky difference. Puts me in mind of Blackadder's Baldrick. 'The ancient myth of pandoras box, that all the evil in the world can be contained in one object. those trousers are that box, and should they ever be removed, then God help us all!' or something to that effect...

I broke my Paintball gun, and no matter how many litany's and psalms of the machine god we chanted while attempting to fix it, it is lost for ever. But on the plus side, we did scare the hell out of the site wardens, standing round with our primers, chanting at full volume, and throwing various cleansing lotions on various parts of the mechanism.

Response to Warhammer 40.000 Crew 2005-01-24 14:56:57

And people thought that I was mad when I recited the Litany of Loading each time I had to use the floppy drive...

Ah people! The UK GW site has been updated! After years of hardship they present us a new web-site! For those who knew it already, ignore me, but those who didn't, go over there now and click already!

Everything except painting ( why doesn't this brush work? *using a file* hey the paint is coming off, must be a anti brush)

well the stories are good and tactics are good to think of.
