i didnt know that, :| poor guys. who the hell would want to be a space marine lol.

Why do you think chicks dig men wearing flak armour and not the power armour. Besides, have you seen the armoured groin guards of those marines, look pretty tight, so castration has to a be viable option!

Hum, Space Crusade was a nice game too... If I could move myself to AS like a crazy, I could do a flash version of it. The rules are pretty simple.

Btw, Spaces Marines do need balls to get a girlfriend ? Why a woman couldn't enjoy the genetical engrineered power of the Emperor's finest ?
Well, hum... nevermind I just woke up.

Response to Warhammer 40.000 Crew 2004-03-09 06:19:27

Why would a Space Marine show affection for a woman? Has a Space Marine not given up his humanity to serve the Emperor to the fullest. Besides, with the big guns, big armour and big muscles, it almost like their overcompensating for someting, hence I stay true to my statement: Chicks dig men in flak armour!

But O'Brien, don't you also wear power armour? Making you a Marine! Scouts only wear carapace armour, NEVAR!!!1 power armour. Sooo, when do scouts loose their balls? As an initiation process; Make 'em drunk and let them wake up in their underwear, covered with their own vomit, blood and feces... 'Meh, I've had worse...' *Scout wants to scratch balls* NOOOOOOO! Or is it one of those cult things... cut YOUR balls BE a man, cut your BALLS be a MAN, cut your balls be a man, CUT YOU BALLS BE A MAN!

My excuse... *sigh* Times are tough...

i was thinking. if the astartes had children with the sororitas, would the kids be born regular humans, or would they have all the marine enhancements?

Response to Warhammer 40.000 Crew 2004-03-10 03:24:29

Most likely only the advanced blood cells which can clot the blood at open wounds. Just remember that Sororitas don't have an enhanced body phsyique, they are just chicks in power armour with bolters. (And for those wondering, Astartes power armour is difirent from that of the Sisters. Astartes link up with the armour through their carapace skin, while the Sisters have special armour that does not require surgery or gene seed implants to operate.)

man this topic has been busier than usual.

Sisters of battle suck, id much rather take a spacemarine army ove them any day, i know sisters arnt quite as good anyway but still, id rather take imperial guard lol, not theres anything wrong with imperial guard (just too many tanks! :D)

Response to Warhammer 40.000 Crew 2004-03-10 14:26:23

Too many tanks in the Guard is like saying that the Marines have too many over powered low cost weapons... (Stupid shitty landspeeder with a multi-melta anyone?) Anyway, the new codex states that the IG now has only three (3! The Leman Russ, The Demolsisher and the Basilisk. All other entries have disappeared!) tanks. Next to that is the heavy weapons platoon, but what do the marines have: Predator Annihilator, Predatr destructor, Land Raider, Land Raider Crusader, Vindicator and the Whirlwind. Thats a pretty much bang for some points.

But hey, Ignore me! Me and Space Marines is a love hate relation. Can't live with them, can't live without them!

Sisters aren't that bad, they just have a whole fuckload of more rules to look after... Next to that they lack lascannons, but they can use multi-meltas and have special flamers.

hello ppl long time no see. let me tell you a grand and obnoxiously elongated and proliferated story. A few months ago when i was visiting my grandmother, god bless her soul, i walked to the warroom just a quater of a click away. here there was warhammer galore! everything you could possibly want was stacked from shelf to shelf! at first i glanced over to the faithful space marines whom ive grown to cherish, but then i saw something else. It was a new Tau XV8 Crisis Battlesuit boxed set, complete with 2 gun drones. I immediatly bought it and took it home to my grandmother to share with. Alas, but it was neer too soon when i had to return back to my house here in Missouri. then three days ago i took the box, still unconstructed, and decided that now was a good time to build it. so i searched online for adequete advice, which i recieved from the games workshop website. i constructed it and today i painted it and officially became a Gue'la auxillary for the greater good! i have seen the true power fueling the Greater Good, and even though i have left my duties as a guardsman, i still remain in good faith to the Emperor.

also i obtained the plans for a Comms. Bunker which i stayed up till 2 in the morning building last night. it came out nicely .

well cheerio

No hard feelings on you, but should we ever cross paths, I pray that O'Brien is nearby to keep me from choking the life out of you.

But, I've got two of those Crisis Suits myself, their nice lil thingies, I like to mount the burst cannon on its shoulder and a flamer on its right arm. I like the anime style of the weapons and armour.

well better serve the greater good than become one of the hellions from the Chaos region. but honestly, i think that GW has a few too many socialists i mean a caste system? i wouldnt want to be stuck w/ some shitty ground crew assignment just b/c i was born into it...

yea i agree w/ u on that mine has a plasma rifle, target lock, missle pod, a sheild generator and i took some spikes from the rhino's shovel and made it a pair of claws (stole that idea from blue gender's armoured shrikes ^^ ) and painted the head red gore w/ gold details and the rest darkgrey w/ codex grey details its tight.

Thecaste systems are explained in the Firewarrior novel as this: Inbred tau prove better offspring...

well i gess it keeps the dominant genes in the inheritance line but eventually mutations will occur in the gene pool unless their genetics work differently. idk all that matters is that im stuck as an auxillary.

I had a suit with two burst cannons and one of those things that lets you fire two weapons or something

Sorry for the prolonged absences. I have been lax in my posting. But then, I have been lax with my army as well. Seeing as I currently have no income, I have been unable to expand my hive. Oh, well.

Fortunatly, there is a Dark Eldar player I know. So at least I haven't been bored.

I'm from the UK, land of rain and before anyone asks, I don't know the queen!

That game looks ace, no release date though, I will definately buy it.

Did you get that e-mail Brookman?

Does anyone else have a small Gw, they've managed to squeeze three boards and a painting table in but it gets a little cramped, especially on a saturday.

Response to Warhammer 40.000 Crew 2004-03-16 17:37:27

Oops, i didn't say that I'm from England, it's so easy to forget about Scotland and wales!

Response to Warhammer 40.000 Crew 2004-03-16 18:48:48

The Irish are drunk, the Scottish are angry and drunk, and the Welsh are terminally deppressed.

Is it just me, of is it that the longer you are in contact with the English, the worse it gets?

Response to Warhammer 40.000 Crew 2004-03-17 03:10:48

Ah yes, I received the e-mail, my gratitude, I'll sign up to Exterminatus.net soon enough.

On Scots, they are one of the coolest armies around! I mean, an army of drunk, violent yet 'caring' kilt wearing claymore or axe weilding brutes, why hasn't GW made a Space Marine chapter of them yet! (And as for WHFB, the Scots are represented by the Orks.) Irish are okay, I believe that the Arbitres are created with the irish in mind... As for the Brits... They are no more, the Praetorian Guard does no longer excist...

I suppose we Enlgish just complain about the weather more, or it might have something to do with the whole trying to take over there land kinda thing (bigger than the roman empire and all that),what a downfall that was!

As for Space marines I would say they are a cross between the Scots and the vikings (mostly vikings though).

Don't forget to tell me what you've put as your username Brookman!

Welp, maybe late, but here's something you peeps may or may not have seen. The enw official Witch Hunters section over at GW. It's shame though, thank to this new section the Imperial Guard is bumped down to the bottom of the list...

Hey guys, heard anything about the new 40k rule book? Notices are stuck to the front of the current ones at our GW.

Response to Warhammer 40.000 Crew 2004-03-21 15:25:47

Sisters of battle, Ministorum and Ordo Hereticus in one codex, heh ?
Something tells me that it will be an EXPENSIVE army. But the minis and beatiful. With the deamon hunters it gives me the feeling that the 40k universe is mostly back and well, good.

New rule book ? What is it ? The coming 4th edition (September as I heard) or final 3rd edition with all the "patches" ?

Aye, it's in this months White Dwarf as an editorial. They're going for a new rulesbook. No need to panic in my opinion though, seeing as it will have several updates, especially on the new assault rules and *crosses his fingers* new vehicle movement and firing rules. (They have been discussing the plan of allowing you to fire ordnance on the move, but with greater scatter.) But with the new rulebook will also be a batch of reworked Codex army books such as I said before the Codex Tyranids and now confirmed a new Codex Space Marines. Rumour also has it that the Codex Eldar will get a much needed revamp. I'll see what happens. The assault rules are finalised after being tested for some two years now at tourneys and GW stores.

BTW, if any of you guys need a place to go, you can crash in on this place: Heroes and Villains of the Forty First Millenium! It's a Forum with a complete 40k section where you can post whatever you want. A story and art section has recently been added, so you artists out there can post your works and you writers can post your creations!
