I don't know why this game was so difficult for me to beat as a kid, I came back and whooped this game's arse years later.

Hopped onto the other site to play it.
Sweet memories, but damn even Normal mode leaves you limping quite fast, without quite the RU funding to upgrade the necessary bits (Repair bay, Fighters) to avoid crippling main ship damage and turret destruction.
Good thing i could still remember the good old cheat and just fast tracked both, then did the rest "legit"
Also, the fact you went ahead and UPDATED it, after so many years, thats dedication mate, love ya.
Looks like this doesn't work with the Newgrounds player...

some while ago, i've ported orbital decay to html 5, it can be played on my site: https://www.pirongames.com/orbital-decay/ - there's also a minor aesthetic update to it.
Repair Drone movement is way too slow. Repair is fast, but it takes forever for them to all fly to the same gun, repair within a second and fly back to repair the main ship...
also guns dont get repairs until the main ship is completely full.
I found this game to be pretty good. I will admit that it got frustrating. You didn't have much of a defense when the enemies kept on coming and coming. I think the graphics aren't bad. I would like it if you could move the ship around. It is nice to control something so big.
I was surprised at how many enemies came up. It just seemed sudden. I couldn't see many visual improvements with the actual upgrades. It was still pretty nice. That firing sound did get annoying after awhile.
