Have fun Lt Sah! Don't worry, we'll keep the souls pouring!

Tough choice...
1. Mr. Bean (Rowan Atkinson)
2. Basil Fawlty
3. Baldrick
4. Fred Dibnah (old bbc presenter with a facination of steam engines, died recently)
5. Carol Smilie (Changing Rooms --- Purge the chambers of horror then repaint it in an imperial shade of pink with sky blue ceiling to give it just that bit more light. Then finally finishing it off with a subtle shrine to the Emperor tucked away in the corner, made in MDF by Handy Andy)
6. Lawrence (Again Changing Rooms --- Paint the Galaxy Purple!)

dont worry brookman we will keep them 'nid bastards out of tha john until you get back. And your ummm daemon pet thing.......

well that kinda throws my idea off balance, but i posted this a while back and I think we should do it when brookman gets back. We should hold a crew wide Golden Daemon Competition. im working on a model which i might enter. rules to participate:

-must enter a painted and flocked model into one of the categories
~Single Model
~ Vehicle
~ Squad
~ Large Model

When finished with models, take a picture of the model with your name/alias and the model's name onto a piece of card positioned near the model, and email them to me at jack_hawk_89@yahoo.com Title the email "Golden Daemon Entry" all emails must be sent by april 25th to qualify. I will judge alongside two other anonymous judges who I will email with invitation, the models. any questions email me.

go on get started on it!

I'm rooting through my stuff for models to enter, I'll be majorly stuck on my vehicle entry, too many to choose, (what do you expect when my nickname in the local club is Tankman? :-D ) the squad entry I know what to enter already, as for the single model, I'm not sure, is this only 40k (keeping in line with the crew name) or is fantasy WH included too (as with normal golden demon)?

Response to Warhammer 40.000 Crew 2005-03-25 16:37:02

well i suppose we can allow fantasy models

the winners of each division will be posted on a Xanga website.

Response to Warhammer 40.000 Crew 2005-03-25 16:50:40

Well im not gonna enter a model because quite frankly im probably not gonna get a set and paints any time soon...

Response to Warhammer 40.000 Crew 2005-03-25 17:25:05

Ok, I've managed to decide these as my entries so far

~Single Model - Black Orc ('Ead Splitta)

~ Vehicle - Shrine Landraider (standard landraider, but I found a little statue in a fair that I modelled onto it.)

~ Squad - Chaos Aspiring Champion and Retinue (Champion had a LOT of greenstuff when he finally was ready for painting!)

~ Large Model - Scratch built Ork Dreadnought (built to standard game rules)

The Avatar? It's actually not that hard to kill. I can usually get it with only 4 space marine squads. If it's by itself. And it takes forever to go down. But it don't own me.

I made soundtrack for the Space Marines a few weeks back. (SMs wouln't listen to rock, but this is the 21st century, who cares?!)

1. KMFDM - Megalomaniac - Of all the songs that remind me of the SMs this one takes the cake. "Better than the best and harder than the rest."

2. KMFDM - A Drug Againts War - Reminds me more of Imperial Guard, but they are awsome as well.

3. Ministry - Bad Blood - Another good one. Goes well with the Blood Angels.

4. Nine Inch Nails - Wish - A good "Rushing into battle" theme.

5. Powerman 5000 - Bombshell - Should say "41st century killing machine" instead of 21st. Very cool song.

6. Grip Inc. - Hostage to Heaven - This felt more like a "filler" song. It still had a SM flare so I kept it.

7. Front Line Assembly - Vigilante - I like the diologe in the begining. Then it goes deep and slow. Very nice pacing, a bit long though.

8. Beastie Boys - So What'cha Want - The only non-rock song. Again, deep and slow.

9. Rob Zombie - Super Charger Heaven - I really like the Inqusition type trial at 2:26 in the song. Without that I wouldn't have put it in here.

10. Ministry - Just One Fix - Loud, creepy, and totally awsome. I love the deep voice in this and the sceams and the laughter in the backround.

11. Ministry - New World Order - "What we are looking at is good and evil, right and wrong. A new world order." I love that voice.

12. Hatebreed - I Will Be Heard - Iv'e never really liked this song too much. Still, it seemed the most savage, so it would be very fitting for Space Wolves.

13. Skinny Puppy - Hardset Head - I'm rather mixed about this one. "A demon stands retreating" was a cool line and the techno at 3:29 was neat. Some of the lines sound like the singer is preaching aggressivly. Not bad.

14. Rammstein - Tier - This song seems to remind people of a marching army. Especially the part at 2:56.

15. MushroomHead - Before I Die - Mostly a filler song. Had the right pacing though.

Thats all. I'm interested in what songs remind you of the Space Marines, or any army for that matter!

I'll put up some songs for other armys another day.

Man i cant wait for the expansion pack for dawn of war.I hope they keep the Imperial guardsmen and lemaun russ tanks from dawn of war(THey look very good and they dont need to throw them out). And i heard that existing armys will have varying looks(but to be honest i thingk only chaos and the orks need this i like the space marines without the beak)...

well go to www.gamesworkshop.com and take a look around. i would buy the Battle for Macragge set to get aquainted with the rules. Or just buy a rulebook from the online store. You will also need a SM Codex to go along with the rulebook. hope this helps!

BEAKIES! The Dawn of War expansion NEEDS to throw some beakies in with the Space Marine and Chaos squads. Like, maybe one or two per squad in a random manner.

Oh yeah, plenty of Rammstein! especially Morganstern, and Keine Lust. both would sound fantastic combined with images of Orks being chainsawed in half.

BOOO! now that I have your attention (cough) I also collect WarHammer 40k BUT only play now, dont have enough to get new ones. That guy that started this, if he can hear me, in the void, if he wants a voice actor for any WH40K flash he makes, I'll help, and I can get someone for that as well, come to think of it. He is obsessed more or less and he would like to discuss it probably. post back what you think
