Because i've started a song that uses an arrangement of "Dance Of The Sugar Plum Faeries"(I arranged it mind you) and i plan on something completely different.

The work must be entirely your own, so no, no existing arrangements! I'm sorry :(

NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUokay. I'll just have to figure something else out lol. Good thing we have a bit of time then.

Started work on the song. Err... It looks like I won't be able to do my original plan, because of the time constraints. The first movement is 3 minutes long, so I'll have to only present that.

I am thoroughly confused by this post.

I said (much earlier on) that a five minute limit was ludicrousness and I would have to truncate my music drastically. I was then told to grow a pair and cut down on my thematic material and everything would be fine.

We'll see.

We'll see.

Gah, I was gonna ask RicePirate to do a vocal for my Japan-styled song, but I forgot that he speaks Chinese and not Japanese. (No, it's not the same.)

I wanna do this professionally. Even though you don't notice right away, a Chinese vocal in a Japanese song is stupid.

Nah too much work for just one vocal.

2) Buy Vocaloid 2 (they have Eng > Jap translator), similar to Symphonic Choirs but much more noob that SC.

I'm not buying a program just for one vocal!

3) Google Translate, put in Eng lyrics to translate to Jap, hear the speeches. Figure out how it pronounce in Eng then put in Speech Synthesizer in FL Studio.

Possible, but it needs to be more like a yell, which is something the speech synthesizer can't produce.

I could also just NOT use a vocal and make the song slightly less epic.

Oh god, I'm gonna be the only one doing the vocals for their own song. Not a promising start for my submission.

I'll just wait until my song is almost done. Vocals are really a thing that you can save for the last.

Orrrrrr, you could research the language a tiny bit and end up with fuckload of points in the research category! ;)

Confirmation!

All that's left is the vocals; I'm learning to sing Indian Raaga so this could take a while! :P Also I'd like to change name of song to "Maurya Thunder" if that's possible :)

Read the rules? :')

Also, thought I'd share with everyone in the thread... in previous contests the points earned were:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12.

This year however, we're upping the game! More countries will get points in categories as the following points will now be rewarded:

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 19 and 24.

Before the maximum score and act could end with was 132*, now it is 264* making the competition much more exciting!

*this is dependant on the current amount of entries and arranged blocks.

Hmmm, this is interesting, however from that I struggle to see which country you represent. Maybe try to use certain notes or instruments native to that country or reminiscent of it's culture.

It's not the main part. The main part isn't finished yet so I didn't put it in the WIP.
